POSITION SUMMARY
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice nursing provider working in the outpatient and telehealth setting to render care to Interdynamics patients across the lifespan. Their work includes evaluation, assessment, and diagnosis; prescribing and establishment of care plan; ongoing treatment and therapy of patients; and internal collaboration to render the highest level of patient care.
In this position, the Psychiatric Mental Health NP will see patients across the lifespan with a variety of mental health diagnoses, including (but not limited to), ADHD, ADD, postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use. Our Psychiatric Mental Health NP will have exposure to a variety of mental health diagnoses at the community level, and will be able to make a comprehensive impact on their patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment, evaluation, and diagnosis of patients
Prescribing and implement treatment in accordance with diagnosis and standards
Establish care plans in collaboration with internal and external clinicians, administrative staff, and leadership to provide best care to Interdynamics patients/clients
Ordering tests to monitor patient status as needed
Attend weekly team meetings as required
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
Other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master of Nursing (MSN)
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (Certified by Maryland Board of Nursing)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PMHNP/APRN required; 5 years of experience as an PMHNP/APRN strongly preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
Independent and effective problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with a teamwork approach
Employment with Interdynamics is contingent upon completing screening requirements (including, but not limited to, Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Registry Clearance).
